Community Development

The community development outreach team work to reduce the social isolation that disadvantaged residents experience and empower community members. The project achieves this through the following ways:

• By consulting with the community in order to identify changing needs and addressing these needs.
• By providing information and referral to residents
• By advocating for the needs of disadvantaged individuals and groups in the community,
• By facilitating community development programs, activities and events to address the needs of the community.
• By supporting, assisting and empowering residents
• By networking, developing partnerships and positive working relationships with other government, non-government agencies, for profit businesses, and community organisations.
