Program and Services

Parks provides a range of quality support, services, programs, information and referrals. These services are adaptable to the changing needs of our community. Most of our services are heavily subsidised by our funders, but we do charge as small fee for most services, and programs. However no person will be refused a service due to their inability to pay the fees. 

A wide range of activities and services are offered by Parks in various locations. These include:

• developing activities and programs for all ages, including bus trips, classes, and information sessions
• coordinating the projects run by Parks, which are described further in this site
• helping residents to understand changes that governments make to programs and funding
• talking with residents and other organisations to work out the area needs, eg: research
• applying for funding for new projects
• information and referral to other services
• supporting community groups
• working with other servives on activities projects and issues
